Pre Season Fixtures

  • Friday 9th July – Squires Gate v Blackpool XI (A) – KO 7:30pm
  • Saturday 10th July – Southport (A) – KO 3pm (Tickets on sale now on Southport website £12)
  • Saturday 17th July – Newport County (N) – KO 12:30pm
  • Saturday 24th July – Carlisle United (A) – KO 3pm
  • Friday 30th July – Bamber Bridge v Blackpool XI (A) – KO 7:30pm
  • Saturday 31st July – Morecambe (A) – KO 3pm.

IN

  • Sonny Casey
    • King Lynn
  • Shayne Lavery
    • “ruthless goalscoring intent” according to Critchley
    • Came through the academy system at Everton
    • 47 goals in 77 appearances for Linfield, 30 goals last season
    • Northern Ireland international the Player and Young Player of the Year awards.
  • Oliver Casey
    • 20 year old signed from Leeds on a three year deal plus option
    • Centre half, started three times Leeds first team
  • Callum Connelly
    • 23 year old signs from Everton on two year deal with option
    • Capable of playing across the back line or midfield
    • Played at both Championship and League One, most recently with the cods were he played 57 games and was club captain
  • Josh Bowler
    • 22 year old winger from Everton on a one plus deal
    • Everton spent a big fee to bring him from QPR
    • “Very good in the final third, where he’s capable of adding goals and assists to the team.”
    • Spent a season on loan in the Championship at Hull in the 2019/20 season
    • And has some Nick circa 1992 style curtains! 
  • Daniel Grimshaw
    • 23 year old goalie from Man City on two year plus one deal
  • Reece James
    • 27 year old left back from Donny on a three year plus one deal
    • 80 appearances with 9 goals
    • From Man United Academy

    • One year deal
    • Join top scorer in FA Cup

    • Two year plus option
